What’s been happening:

My family and I moved from Altoona to High Point NC in August of 2008 after living in Pennsylvania all of our lives. It has been quite a change for us, being so far away from friends and family. It is also strange to us to live in an area where being a Penn Stater is not a given. In fact, it is somewhat of a conversation starter as people always are asking about how North Carolina is different from (or similar to) Pennsylvania; does Penn State play basketball (Well, Yeah-2009 NIT CHAMPS!); and when will JoePa retire (When he is good and ready!). Thank goodness for being able to keep in touch with my Penn State friends through Facebook and the internet. It's the next best thing to being there.
